Management Partnerships

Are you a business owner looking to retire? Have a viable business, but not getting offers that match the real value? Want to maintain ownership, but not have to deal with managing the operation? An active management partnership with Martin & Reeves may be a great choice!

What is it?

We partner with you to take over the active management of your business, leveraging our wealth of experience and knowledge to continue to grow your business, while allowing you to maintain ownership, and income. An alternative to selling outright, and getting less than what your business is truly worth.

How it works:

It starts with a conversation. We talk about your unique business, goals, and needs. If it seems like a good fit, we move into due diligence. During this phase, our analysts will evaluate the potential of your business, and the likelihood of a successful partnership. This will include a couple weeks of deep dive (all under a Non-Disclosure Agreement, of course), and meetings focused on the different aspects of your business. At the conclusion of this work, you will be presented with a proposal detailing the engagement.

What's it cost?

The cost to engage Martin & Reeves for an Active Management Partnership varies based on your individual opportunity. Normally the compensation is structured as follows:

  • Flat Management Fee

  • Profit Share Incentive

  • Equity Share (in select cases only)

  • Earned Buyout (very selective)

The ultimate goal is not to take the ownership of the business from you. Instead, our goal is to create a mutually beneficial arrangement that rewards our team based on performance, and real results, while preserving the majority of profits for you, the owner.
